Coverage Types
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage
Definition
Auto insurance coverage that protects you if you're injured in an accident caused by a driver who has no insurance (uninsured) or insufficient insurance (underinsured) to cover your damages.
In Zach’s Words
“Not everyone on the road carries enough insurance — or any insurance at all. UM/UIM coverage protects YOU when someone who can't pay for the damage they caused hits you. In California, about 15% of drivers are uninsured. This coverage makes sure you're not stuck paying for someone else's mistake.”
