Independent Insurance Agent
Definition
A licensed insurance professional who represents multiple insurance companies and can offer quotes from various carriers, as opposed to a captive agent who represents only one company. Also known as an independent broker.
In Zach’s Words
“An independent agent (like us!) works for YOU, not for one insurance company. We shop your coverage across dozens of carriers to find the best fit and price. A captive agent only sells one company's products — we can compare them all. It's like hiring a personal shopper instead of going to one store.”
