About your business

We never ask for card or bank numbers here. Your account manager reviews this, sends it to your insurance company, and emails you when they respond. The insurance company makes the final decision on any change.

Why keeping your policy current matters

Priced on exposure

Business policies are rated on what you actually have: vehicles, units, payroll and sales. When those change, the policy should too.

No surprise at audit

Payroll and sales are checked at the end of the policy year. Updating mid-year spreads any change out instead of landing as one bill.

Ready to shop

Loss runs and accurate vehicle and building details are what underwriters ask for first. Having them on file means faster, better quotes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are loss runs and how do I get them?
Loss runs are a report of the claims on your policy, issued by each insurance company you've had. Underwriters usually want the last five years before they'll quote. Ask your current insurance company or agent for them; most send them within a few business days.
Why does my insurance company need my vehicle's VIN and weight?
Commercial auto is rated vehicle by vehicle. The VIN identifies the exact vehicle, and the gross vehicle weight (on the sticker inside the driver's door) puts it in a weight class that drives the rate. How far it travels and what it tows matter too.
Should I update payroll or sales during the policy year?
Yes, if they've changed a lot. Workers' comp and many liability policies are priced on estimated payroll or sales and checked at audit. Updating mid-year keeps your premium accurate and avoids a large bill, or credit, at the end of the year.
Does sending an update change my policy right away?
No. Your account manager reviews it and sends it to your insurance company, and the change takes effect once they confirm it. We'll email you the confirmation and any change to your premium.
Can I email my documents instead?
Yes. Email them to cl@nadlerinsurance.com with your business name in the subject line, and fill out the form so we know what they're for.
